Sample Directions

This test consists of two sections (1) selected-response items (2) performance task assignments.

The directions for each section appear immediately before that section. Be sure to read all instructions carefully.

For the section containing selected-response questions, read each question and answer choice carefully and select the ONE best answer. You should answer all questions. Even if you are unsure of an answer, it is better to guess than not to answer a question at all.

You will have a total of 240 minutes to complete this exam. Candidates are free to set their own pace during the test administration.

The following estimates were used to determine the total test time for Part One:

  1. The extended performance task is designed with the expectation of a response time up to 60 minutes.
  2. Each shorter performance task is designed with the expectation of a response time up to 30 minutes.
  3. The selected-response items are designed with the expectation of a response time up to 120 minutes.
